UPDATE!!!! According to Jaclyn’s Snapchat she has heard that some buyers have received eye palettes that are of poor quality, while some buyers are getting good quality palettes. She and Becca Cosmetics have decided to pull the eye pallet from the collection, and it WILL NOT be up for sell on June 16th when the rest of the products are re-releasing. So, if you didn’t get the eye pallet the first time around, unfortunately, you won’t be getting it at all.

If you are deep into the YouTube makeup artist world, then you undoubtedly have heard of Jaclyn Hill. Makeup Queen extraordinaire; Jaclyn has built an empire for herself in the YouTube community. She currently has over 3 million subscribers and the amount only grows daily. She doesn’t have her own makeup line out yet, but she has alluded to its imminent creation over the last months. Until her line comes out, we have this collab with Becca Cosmetics to tide us over.

Jaclyn had first created a highlighter for Becca Cosmetics called Champagne Pop, and its success was so wild, they expanded the collection. The new collection includes a face pallets1830835-main-hero

liquid highlighters1830850-main-hero

“poured” highlighters1830868-main-hero

and “pressed” highlighter. s1721240-main-hero

I only purchased the eye and face pallet, one- because of the money costs since I buy everything myself, two- because the face pallet has two highlighters included, and third, Jaclyn mentioned that the liquid highlighter is better for mature skin. The liquid highlighter also looks to be tinted pink, and I wasn’t sure that would go too well with my olive skin tone.

I’m actually quite impressed with the face pallet. The only shade that I don’t think goes well with my olive skin tone is the Amaretto blush. It seems to be a little chalky to me as well. But the other two blushes are beautiful, and the highlighters? Well, the only word I can think to describe them? Gorgeous. I was impressed with the eyeshadow colors as well. They would look beautiful on anyone that has hazel or green eyes especially. I have to think they created those colors especially since Jaclyn does have light colored eyes.

I’m all about supporting people who work hard at their craft, and you can tell girl puts in effort. And, she’s from the Tampa Bay area, so I gotta support her since we’re from the same area! I really love the packaging, and I really love the quality of everything except the Amaretto blush.  Do you think this collection might find its way into your hands? Let me know!

I got my collection in the pre-release, but it is being re-released on the Sephora website on June 16th, 2016!
