Natural Deodorant Review

Ever since I read an article that said they found aluminum in breast cancer, I’ve been on the hunt to find the perfect natural deodorant without any trace of bad chemicals in it. These are the five that I gave a chance, in no particular order.

I really like this Kopari deodorant. It is a solid form, but slick and glides on easily. It has the smell of coconut which is a major win for me. I Love Coconut! lol. I felt like it kept me smelling fresh, and I didn’t sweat. It retails for $14 and there’s 2 ounces of product.

It’s a “Unique blend of coconut water, coconut oil, and sage oil conditions and soothes even the most sensitive underarms.”

This! This one right here! Might be my favorite. It has a scent of essential oils, and is a liquid form deodorant.  AROMACHOLOGIE REFRESHING AROMATIC DEODORANT is $19 and has 1.7 ounces of product. I like it because it rolls on easily, and dries quickly. I don’t feel like I stink, and I feel like it lasts all day.

The “Essential oils of sage, sweet orange and lemon adds a light refreshing scent while limiting the development of body odors.”

Native Deodorant. Let me start off by saying, this deodorant works, it really does. The scents are great too! I tried the coconut scent (I told you I love coconut), and a cucumber scent as well. I felt like I didn’t sweat, and I didn’t have to reapply. But…. and this is a medium sized but, it’s really annoying to put on. Its a very firm solid, and it tugs at your skin as you put it on. I felt like I had to wet my underarms just to put it on. For me, that takes extra time out of my day, because I just want to swipe it and go. So, even though I enjoyed the scent and the product, I probably won’t purchase again. It’s $12, and 2.65 ounces of product (the most so far). Added plus- they carry a line for men as well.

Everybody and their momma is talking, or using this deodorant. It’s won Allure’s Best of Beauty 2016, and for good reason. Lavanila Deodorant, is a solid form, and glides on smoothly. It does have a little white residue, and it feels really thick when you put it on. When I used it, I did feel like it worked, and I didn’t stick at all. The one problem for me with this deodorant? It made me break out. Not Good. I did some research, and I found that baking soda can be the culprit! I looked at the ingredient list, and found… BAKING SODA. So, while I cannot use this deodorant anymore, it’s still a great one. It retails for $16, and 1.8 ounces of product.

The last deodorant that I gave a whirl was ThinkSport. I bought it on Amazon, which is amazing (Amazing Amazon), because I can get it in two days with prime! I really liked this one, because they have many scents (I really enjoyed the white tea and aloe scent), and it is such a great price. It’s the cheapest at $8.99, and has 2.9 ounces – the MOST for your money for sure! It does tug a little while it goes on, but not as much as Native, so i can work with it.

Hopefully, one of these deodorants end up working for you! It really is important to try to switch over to natural deodorant if you haven’t already! In the beginning, you may have to detox, which is NOT the fun part, but after you use it consistently for a couple of weeks, you’ll be able to use natural deodorant without stinking, and your body will love you for it! Let me know in the comments below if there’s another natural stick that you use that wasn’t mentioned.

“Several studies suggest that traditional deodorants and antiperspirants may contain harsh ingredients including Aluminum, Propylene Gylcol and Parabens that prevent the body from releasing perspiration and potentially absorb and accumulate in the delicate underarm area, a gateway to the infection fighting lymphatic system. These ingredients have been linked to significant health risks (read up!) and associated with unpleasant side effects like rashes, painful inflammation and a build up of sweat digesting bacteria.”

I’ve definitely found that for natural deodorant it’s not a one kind fits all type of thing. You definitely may have to trial and error, BUT once you find the right one then, yay! lol. Good luck, let me know what you choose.
